About the Trip

As I said before it was AMAZING! I would LOVEEE to go on another People to People Trip. But I don't think I will be going back to China anytime soon. I loved it, don't get me wrong. But I don't like the humidity. The heat wouldn't be so bad if it weren't so humid. And I don't like Chinese food. I mean I ate on the trip and I liked some of the food, but I don't really like Chinese food. I'd like to go somewhere that I will actually eat more than fries and breaded chicken.

The people I met were great. Both the delegation members and the Chinese people I met. The Chinese families are so generous and giving and nice. They invited us into there homes. And during our home stay. Our moms cooked for us every meal. And my families mom wouldn't let us help her clean up.

I made lots of new friends. I got closest with Shane Jeffers and Tyler Weide. But all the people were great. I hope to keep in touch with all of them.

I'm Home

I landed in Pitt at 11:10 this morning. I am ever so happy to be home. I get my own SOFT bed. I can put the toliet paper IN the toliet. I have an acutal toliet instead of a hole in the ground. I can eat AMERICAN food instead of the Chinese version of American food.


But all in all the trip was AMAZING. Despite all the miss haps and the missing items it was great. A wondergreat experiense I would love to share with you all. But for tonite I am going to bed. I am super tired!

So the ppl at my table 4 dinner ordered n ate weird nasty food. Bull frog soup goose tonge n feet n jelly fish. I didnt have any of it. Ew!

Some home made mac n cheese would b good too. Along with steak n grilled potatoes

We made it 2 the place that starts w. A W and is built on water. Idk how 2 spell it. Were goin on a boat ride sometime soon

Every1 needs 2 calm down bout me bein ok IM FINE! My sugar dropped i got more in me. Im fine. I wouldnt have posted that if i wasnt fine.

We came 2 a silk embroadery place when every1 is done shoppin were goin 4 lunch.

Well when i was on the balcony at my home stay house there was some1 on a bike that had a speaker yellin somethin in chinese

If any1 from that went 2 the dominican is readin this think back 2 the truck that drove by sayin w.e it said...

Jus ate AMERICAN food. Pizza Hut. Goin 2 c some chinese acrobats

Just ate some mongolian lunch. It was pretty good. Went 2 a silk factory wish i couldve bought stuff.

Its mornin n were gettin a tour of shanghai.

N he calls americans big noses. He asked what we thought they called us n sam said craker.

So... Our new tour guide is racist against americans. He calls american born chinese bananas bc theyre skin is chinese yellow n they have a white mans heart

We have jus boarded the bus 4 our hr n a half bus ride 2 the air port 4 our 2 hr flight 2 shanghia

Today we saw old w.e village i cant spell the name of it. Now were goin 2 help the villagers harvest their fruit crops

So we went 2 a party last nite. It was pretty kool. We did the cha cha slide n macarana. Then i walked around w. Tyler n shane

We jus left the xi an hotel we r on our way 2 our home stay. Idk if i can charge my phone so i might nt have it 2maro

So we jus met the guy that found the terra cotta warrors i cant spell or say his name. Now were waitin to see them...boring! *cramps =[*

Traveling messes up mother natures cycle. I have it. She's visited me already this month and now she's back urg! Cramps =[

So i think we went to the opra thing. It was good. I left my shampoo at the last hotel *mad face*

Sleeping on trains sucks butt i got just about no sleep and it was EXTREMELY hot!

We have arrived in xi'an and we are on our way to the hotel. Since i couldn't charge my phone on the train i wont have it on me today bc its almost dead

We went to the bell tower... And climbed at least 70 stairs. Ha ha caleb asked me if i needed ice cream but i was fine. Out to dinner we go.

Just went to the zoo that was kool. Now we're going to the summer palace.

Penny tell amanda that i have pictures of the olympic buildis. She asked me if i'd see them.

I may send posts to my blog to keep you updated but thats all. Mom tell ron to advertise that we'll do our thing july 15th

But not everyday. Whats the point of going on a vacation if you have to keep talkin to everyone back home? I love you all.

My phone is going to be off for a few days so no one can call or txt me. I love you all and its good to hear from you....

And sam gave me rainbow nerds on the bus... I didn't eat much lunch didn't feel good but i'm feeling much better now. No worries =D

Jhon made me drink his cold coke and he bought me an ice cream with the most chocolate he could find... I didn't complain...

I also felt like crying really badly. But i'm ok now. Sam and Jhon took care of me. They thought my sugar dropped...

I walked the great wall of china!... And almost passed out when we came down. I was shaking really bad...

Ate some duck... The lady put it on my plate without askin... Jhon made me eat it... EWWWW! And yes his name is spelled right.

Today i've learned some kung fu made chinese dumplings been to tian'anmen square and the forbidden city.

I ate more chinese food...didn't like it this time. It was chicken something.

And last night i ate some steak thing...and it was pretty good. But it was pink =[ today we're going to be busy so i don't know when i'll post again. Ttyl

So on the plane from LA to hong kong i was so hungry i ate roast beef cooked in MUSHROOMS! EWWWW!

My Frist Blog

So.... I'm new to this blogging thing. I set it up because I'm traveling to China this summer and I need a way to keep in touch with my family and friends. I hope I can figure out what to do. I leave on June 23rd. So I will start getting more posts then.
